When it rains, there are two kinds of people: those who let it rain on them or those who run for cover. I used to be the latter. Protecting my hair, which I blow dried straight, was my main priority. Rain was an annoyance and only pretty looking at it from the inside out. These days though, I not only embrace the rain, but celebrate it. That simple shift in perspective has resulted in big changes-- and a whole new world has opened up. As buckets came down the city that never sleeps today, rather than stay inside all day, I carved out the time to enjoy nature as it was showing up and in the process, I discovered some kind of wonderful. Birds have quite the song when its coming down hard. This of course is a metaphor for life. Embrace the now and live in joy or fight the elements and miss out on the glory.
I tried to photograph the rain, here are some images.
